Sewing courses

Sorry, I have no sewing courses planned yet for 2017. If you would like to be added to a mailing list to hear when courses are confirmed, please email me at vickyshackle.at.hotmail.com.

Courses have previously taken place in the Mongolian yurt at Killhope North of England Lead Mining Museum in upper Weardale, but I am happy to discuss holding them at any suitable venue - please get in touch by email or by leaving a comment (blogger will email me the comment).  Thanks.

I can provide workshops for beginners or more advanced sewers
Beginners: if you have a sewing machine but aren’t yet confident using it, come along and learn what's what. You will learn how to set up your sewing machine by threading it correctly, adjusting the stitch length and thread tension, filling the bobbin, changing the needle, forward and reverse stitching.  While doing that, you'll create a beautiful and useful lined, draw-string bag. You will need to bring your sewing machine and a basic sewing kit (pins, needle, sharp scissors) to this workshop.
More advanced: sewing curves, sewing clothes, using patterns, inserting zips - let me know what you'd like!
